EPA Chief Scott Pruitt Resigns
Environmental Protection Agency chief Scott Pruitt resigns amid ethics controversies.
President Donald Trump says he has accepted Pruitt’s resignation and that EPA deputy administrator, Andrew Wheeler, will become acting Administrator once Pruitt leaves on Monday. Trump says, “Within the Agency Scott has done an outstanding job, and I will always be thankful to him for this.”
Pruitt has been under fire for spending taxpayer money on travel and security, for his close relationships with lobbyists, among other controversies.
