All 12 Boys Rescued From Thai Cave
All twelve Thai boys and their soccer coach have been rescued after an 18-day ordeal that captured worldwide attention.
The boys, ranging in 11 to 16 years old, and their 25-year-old coach were trapped in the Tham Luang Cave after monsoon rains blocked them in. Narrow spots, near-zero visibility and the constant threat of more rain made the rescue operation extremely dangerous and difficult.
Teams of two escorted the boys out. Each boy was tethered to a diver, who was holding their oxygen tank in front of them, while another diver would be right behind the boy.
Hundreds of Thai Navy SEALs and divers, engineers and medics from around the world were on hand during the rescue operation.
