Colin Kaepernick's Legal Team to Seek Subpoena of President Trump

Colin Kaepernick’s lawyers are expected to seek a subpoena of President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence to testify in a collusion case against the NFL, reports Yahoo Sports.

Kaepernick, as you may remember, protested against racial inequality by kneeling during the National Anthem at games, sparking other players to do the same. Yahoo Sports reports Kaepernick’s lawyers learned Trump had direct talks with team owners about the protests and the purpose of the subpoenas would be to find out if the Trump administration influenced NFL teams to avoid Kaepernick.

According to Yahoo Sports, to make that happen, Kaepernick’s lawyers will have to notify the system arbitrator of the need for “targeted depositions beyond the boundaries of the agreement between the NFL and the player’s union.”
