President Trump Signs VA Bill, Giving Veterans More Private Healthcare Options

President Donald Trump has signed a veterans healthcare bill that provides veterans with more healthcare choices. The VA MISSION Act provides $5.2 billion in mandatory funding for a program that provides veterans with the option of receiving care at private health facilities.

“All during the campaign I go out and say why can’t they just go out and see a doctor instead of standing in line for weeks and weeks and weeks? Now they can go see a doctor, going to be great," Trump said.

The White House says the act, will consolidate the “complex, bureaucratic web” of seven different veterans community care programs into one program.
