FDA Approves First Marijuana Based Drug

The FDA has approved the U.S’s first marijuana-based medicine. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved Epidiolex, a cannabidiol oral solution for the treatment of seizures related to epilepsy.

The medicine will be used to treat two rare and severe forms of epilepsy. The drug is a strawberry-flavored syrup made by British company GW Pharmaceuticals
