Delta Bans 'Pit Bull Type' Service Dogs
Delta bans pit bull type service and support dogs on their flights. Delta said in an announcement that they were also introducing a limit of one emotional support animal per customer, per flight. The new rules are effective July 10.
Delta says the move is the direct result of safety concerns for their employees. According to Delta, there has been an 84 percent increase in reported incidents involving service and support animals since 2016.
