Puerto Rico Hit With Another Blackout

An island-wide blackout hit Puerto Rico on Wednesday as the U.S. territory struggles with a unstable power grid in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria.

Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority tweeted that it may take up to 36 hours to restore power. Officials told The Associated Press an excavator accidentally downed a transmission line.

According to the AP, this is the second major outage in less than a week.
