Study Finds Caregiving is a Full-Time Unpaid Job for Many

Caregiving is a full-time unpaid time job for many, finds a report from Caring.com.

Caring found more than four in 10 family caregivers spend $5,000 or more annually on caregiving. Nearly half of them rely on family funds to cover costs.

On top of that, nearly 40% of family caregivers spend more than 30 hours per week on caregiving. 90% of caregivers do not receive compensation for their caregiving work. 58% of caregivers live with the person they are caring for.
