U.S. to Withdraw From Postal Treaty in New Move Against China

The Trump administration said it plans to withdraw from a 144-year-old international postal treaty in another move against China.

The White House said the Universal Postal Union puts American companies at a disadvantage since it gives overseas companies, especially Chinese companies, discounted shipping rates for small packages sent to Americans consumers.

The U.S. wants countries to be allowed to set their own shipping rates for those types of packages.
