Taliban Claims Responsibility for Kabul Car Bomb Attack
The Taliban have claimed responsibility for a Kabul car bomb attack that killed at least 29 people and wounded dozens of others.
The New York Times reports a Taliban spokesperson said they were behind the suicide bombing and the group had targeted Afghan intelligence workers. Afghan security officials said they question the validity of the Taliban’s claim of their intended target, since the intelligence service does not use buses to transport staff and some of the victims of the attack were Ministry of Mines workers.
CNN reports some of the people who died were civilians, including women and children.
