Trump Signs Order Calling for Review of National Monuments

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Wednesday telling the Department of Interior to review land and water set aside as national monuments.

Trump said the Antiquities Act of 1906, “does not give the federal government unlimited power to lock up millions of acres of land and water, and it's time we ended this abusive practice.”

The Act was signed into law by President Theodore Roosevelt and gives the President of the United States the authority to create national monuments and protect and limit use of lands.
