U.S. Drops 'Mother of All Bombs' on ISIS Targets in Afghanistan
The U.S. Military dropped what is known as the "mother of all bombs" in Afghanistan on ISIS targets. The bomb is one of the largest non-nuclear bombs in the U.S. military’s arsenal.
White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said the GBU 43 Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb was dropped around 7 p.m. local time Wednesday. Spicer said the bomb hit tunnels and caves ISIS fighters use to move around freely. He said the U.S. takes the fight against ISIS seriously and in order to win the fight the U.S. must deny ISIS operational space, which they did with the MOAB.
