Donald Trump Signs 3 Executive Orders, Swears in Attorney General Jeff Sessions
President Donald Trump signed three executive orders related to crime shortly before swearing in Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Trump said he signed the orders to restore safety in America.
The Star-Telegram reports the White House did not provide the exact language of the actions.
Trump said he would be directing the Department of Justice and Homeland Security to undertake all the necessary and lawful action to "break the back of the criminal cartels that have spread across our nation and are destroying the blood of our youth." He said he is directing the Department of Justice to form a task force to reduce violent crime in America and implement a plan to stop crime and crimes of violence against law enforcement officers.
