Car Plows into Mardi Gras Parade in Alabama

An SUV plowed into a Mardi Gras parade and injured 12 high school marching band members in Gulf Shores, Alabama. This comes just days after an alleged drunk driver drove into a Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans, injuring 28 people.

Reuters reports four of the band students were critically injured.

Fox News reports officials say the unidentified driver is a 73-year-old man who didn't appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Reuters reports the driver was elderly and appeared to hit the gas pedal rather than the brakes.
