Eight People Rescued After US NAVY Plane Crashes

Eight people were rescued after a plane crashed in the Philippine Sea, southeast of Okinawa. 11 crew and passengers were on the plane when it crashed into the ocean, the U.S. 7th Fleet said.

The plane was conducting a routine transport flight at the time. It took off from Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni and was headed for the USS Ronald Reagan. The search and rescue for the three remaining passengers continues.

The BBC reports preliminary reports indicate engine failure may have caused the crash.
