Trump to Pay Own, Staffers Legal Fees for Russia Probe

President Donald Trump has started paying his own legal bills related to the Russia investigation and is working on a plan to help his current and former staff with expenses as well, his attorneys said.

Bloomberg reports White House lawyer Ty Cobb said the Office of Government Ethics and a tax firm are working on a way for Trump to contribute to staffers’ legal bills that would meet regulatory and ethical standards.

Reuters reports Trump’s attorneys also said he will no longer use political donations to his reelection campaign or the Republican Party to cover the costs.
