Wife of Orlando Nightclub Shooter Arrested and Charged
The wife of Orlando nightclub shooter, Omar Mateen, was arrested and charged. Noor Salman, who is 30, faces charges of aiding and abetting.
The Washington Post reports she was arrested at her home in Rodeo, California.
She is scheduled to appear in federal court in Oakland on Tuesday.
The New York Times reports investigators say Salman obstructed the investigation of the massacre and provided Mateen with material support.
As you may remember, in June of last year, Mateen killed 49 people and injured dozens of others at an Orlando gay nightclub called Pulse.
CBS News reports during the shooting, Mateen talked to Salman through text messages and bought ammunition with her husband and drove him when he cased out the nightclub.
The Washington Post reports Salman's lawyer, Linda Moreno, did not have enough knowledge nor could she predict what Mateen planned to do.
