As the conventions loom, talk of vice president picks are heating up for both sides. CNN reports that Donald Trump may be announcing his running mate as soon as Friday. On the short list are reportedly New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Indiana Governor Mike Pence, and Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions. Trump appears to be looking for an established politician to be his running mate, and despite lots of speculation, a temperate pick could make Trump act even more unconventional, according to a Trump adviser.
On the Democratic end, Hillary Clinton has been quiet about who she is considering, but the Huffington Post speculates her list may contain New Jersey Senator Cory Booker, Virginia Senator Tim Kaine, and popular Senator Elizabeth Warren from Massachusetts. The list comes from individuals who have been invited to speak at the Democratic Convention in Philadelphia at the end of the month.
