Terrorist Attack At Istanbul's Ataturk Airport Kills Dozens

An attack today in Turkey at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport has left ten people dead and at least twenty more injured, as reported by CNN. Two suicide bombers opened fire at one of the entrances to the airport then detonated. Reports say both bombs went off outside the international terminal entrance and not inside.

Turkish officials have said that police did engage with the attackers and shots were fired to try and neutralize them.

This attack is just another in a string of attacks in Turkey this year as they are part of the US led coalition against ISIS and planes fly raids against the terror organization from the country. Turkey has also had issues over the years within its borders with the Kurdistan Worker’s Party who is also considered a terror group by Turkey, the US and the European Union.
