Donald Trump Campaign Manager Charged With Battery

Donald Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, has been placed under arrest by police in Jupiter, Florida and charged with misdemeanor battery. The charge is in connection to an incident early in March at a news conference where reporter Michelle Fields accused him of grabbing and yanking her arm as she attempted to ask Donald Trump a question.

Lewandowski had previously denied any kind of physical contact with Fields, even denying ever meeting her. Security camera footage released by the police show exactly what happened.

The Trump Campaign released a statement saying Lewandowski was not arrested and that he is absolutely innocent of the charge. A police report was distributed to news outlets.
