ISIS Second In Command Killed In Raid

US defense officials announced today that the ISIS second in command has been killed during an operation this month by the US-led coalition.

Haji Imam was the finance minister who oversaw the funding of the Islamic State through its networks and also allegedly managed the day-to-day operations for ISIS in Syria, Iraq, and Libya.

The death of this high level ISIS official along with Omar al-Shishani’s death this month has been a major blow to the terrorist group’s leadership. The US defense secretary acknowledged that although losing these leaders was key in systematically eliminating ISIS’ cabinet, these leaders will be replaced.

Little detail was offered by the US about the operations or where exactly Imam was killed. The ISIS leader was allegedly a former physics teacher in Iraq.
