The football community is mourning after a horrific plane crash carrying a Brazilian football club to the biggest match in their history kills at least 71, with 6 survivors.
The chartered plane carrying Brazil's Chapecoense crashed into a Columbia hillside. Chapecoense was headed for the Copa Sundamericana, an international competition for South American soccer.
The BBC reports the pilot lost contact with ground controllers Medellin after the pilot reported an electrical fault.
The New Zealand Herald reports goalkeeper Danilo was one of originally 7 survivors pulled from the wreckage. The Herald reports he called his wife from his hospital bed, but died a short time later.
