Samsung Sending Galaxy Note 7 Customers Thermally Insulated Box
Samsung is sending Galaxy Note 7 customers a four layered, fire-proof, thermally insulated box and a set of gloves with a detailed list of directions on how to return the phone. The box is labeled "damaged/defective lithium ion batteries and it's "forbidden for transport by aircraft." The directions say to put the Note 7 inside a static shield sleeve, which is put into a phone-sized box, which is placed into another box then that goes into the thermal protective box.
On Monday, Samsung said it was stopping production of the Galaxy Note 7, after reports of the phones setting themselves on fire. Those phones were replacement phones for a previous batch of Note 7's with the same problem.
