LBN’s Ryan Gaumont reports that Oscar Pistorius is back in court. (LBN reported last week on Pistorius’s murder conviction.) The 28-year-old athlete appeared before Judge Aubrey Ledwaba, who will announce a new sentence for Pistorius in April. The sentencing will be delayed while Pistorius appeals his case to South Africa’s Constitutional Court. The Constitutional Court is the highest court in South Africa. A hearing before the court could take months.
The trial judge concluded that Pistorius is not a flight risk and set bail at about $700. The bail also includes as conditions that Pistorius will be electronically tagged but be able to move within a 12-mile radius of his uncle’s home each day between 7 a.m. and noon. He will also have to hand over his passport.
